Lessons To Learn from Piku.
It is a simple,
fun loving , light, humorous movie that leaves no foul potty smell .Instead it
is full of life lessons .A story most could relate to of idiosyncrasies of the
elders , the patience ,the love and
commitment of the younger generations and the impact of emotions and lifestyle
on the gut "emotions se motion " and the love and hate relationship
of a caring daughter with an irritable ill tempered father.
Understand the deep connection of emotion
with motion
The story starts with this deep connection. Constipation
in the mind is constipation in life reminding us of Isabgol days, that
constipation is a serious problem and the emotions you feel after a good motion
are delightful and irreplaceable. Piku tries endearingly and at other times
with disgust to make him see reason.
Give your potty the right push in the Indian
style.
When you sit in a Indian toilets in squat
position your whole digestive system is pressed and pressured and foods get
churned well and give a perfect and uniform flow of slurry .So you get a much
relaxed and cleaner stomach. But in western toilets you sit idle and most of
the things are not properly churned and cause constipation, So to keep joints
active and gut happy get rid of the comfortable commodes.
Never ask your messages to be read out loud
in the.
You never know how embarrassing they could be.
Piku's love for her eccentric, stubborn, adorable, loving father embarrassed
her no end when her secretary read out her fathers message loud in a meeting
" semi-liquid motion first, then two days of gas and constipation, what
should I do ?" She felt humiliated and ashamed.
Never abandon your parents no matter how they
behave.
Piku continued to take care of her old grumpy
complaining father who even did not spare her sex secrets announcing coolly
that she is not a virgin. She even acceded to his wish of taking a long road
trip to kolkotta carrying his potty chair ."Agar kisi ko mere sath shadi
karni hai to usko adopt karo ?" (adopt my father if you want to marry me
).To which her friend replies" tumhare
nabbe saal ke bacche ko saath mein adopt karna padega"
In olden days women went to any end to please
their.
BB has strong views on women, marriage and
off course poop. While BB loved his wife, he did not fancy her change in
attitude after marriage, which was to dedicate herself in pleasing her husband.
"Marriage without purpose is low IQ” is what BB says and discourages his daughter
on getting married without a purpose. Why does a woman have to lurk in the
shadows of a male in the relationship?
In marriage a woman should never step on a
mans ego.
The conversation between BB and his sister in
law asking her why she had not taken up a job offer she had received in her
earlier days. To which, she looks down humbly and mumbles, “Because my salary
would have been more than my husband’s“. BB promptly replies: “So? in a rather
very encouraging tone as if agreeing with her view for he knows no man feels
comfortable when he earns less then his wife .
Daughters and fathers share a very special
relationship
This movie is not only about the
unconditional love between a father and his daughter but is progressive in the
sense that it encourages both to talk to each other about things fathers and
daughters don't usually talk about like sex, marriage and potty woes. The
fathers actual behavior does not matter to the daughter what matters is her
perception to see him with optimism loving enough to endure to his whims and
tantrums in old age.
Indian values and family relations in modern
times.
If you have seen this movie please share your
thoughts with your family, friends and relatives. If you haven't then it's worth viewing it for its
simplicity, laughter. practical life lessons with humor filled dialogues and
never a dull moment . And Also Enjoy the the music as well specially the
musical journey song with its lovely lyrics “Hum chale baharon mein Gungunati
raahon mein ,Dhadkane bhi tez hain ,Ab kya karein” enjoy listening.
